There are a ton of reasons why Texas is one of the greatest states in the country. The most prominent reason, however, probably has to do with the fact that every state, except Alaska, can fit into Texas at least once. This map, found on Reddit, shows the amount of times each state could fit into the Lone Star State, and honestly, it’s eye-opening.
I mean, we know that Rhode Island is the smallest state in the U.S., but it can fit into Texas 221 times?! That’s almost too crazy to believe. It’s also surprising that West Virginia can fit into Texas 11 times, while New York State only fits five times.
By the .4 estimate of Alaska, it can be concluded that Texas is less than half of the size of Alaska. It also brings up the fun fact that Alaska is hardly ever shown to true scale on maps of the United States since it’s not connected to the Lower 48. If it were, we’d all be keen on the fact that Alaska is over twice the size of Texas.
