Sept. 16, 1995 was a big day for 28-year-old Tim McGraw.

His upbeat single”I Like It, I Love It” reached the top of the country charts and became the third No. 1 song of his career.

“I Like It, I Love It” was able to hold onto the top spot of the Hot Country Songs chart for an impressive five straight weeks. The rowdy track was written by Jeb Stuart Anderson, Steve Dukes and Mark Hall. “I LIke It, I Love It” was featured on McGraw’s third studio album, All I Want. That album went on to sell over 2 million copies and brought his level of stardom to a new high.

Even after 20 years, “I Like It, I Love It” stands as one of McGraw’s most recognizable songs. Its infectious quality is supported by electric guitar and percussion. McGraw’s energetic performance style, charisma and incredible talent made him one of the hottest new male artists in country music that year.

Although the song hasn’t been forgotten by fans, it would be no surprise if many have long forgotten the track’s official video. It provides an instant flashback to the mid-1990s, when big hair, tight jeans and crazy video graphics were all the rage.
