Buc-ee's is Bringing All of its Beaver Nugget Glory to Tennessee

Texas's favorite convenience store and gas station is making its way to Tennessee this coming Tuesday. Buc-ee's is home to beaver mascot animals, brisket, kolaches, and a delicious variety of jerky. This iconic Texan store is opening throughout the South, and Crossville, Tennessee is the next lucky spot!

Texas' Favorite Gas Station

This legendary convenience store is owned by Arch "Beaver" Aplin III and Don Wasek. Aplin, who was born in Southeast Texas, created the name by combining his childhood nickname, his dog's name (Buck), and the toothpaste mascot Bucky the beaver.

Buc-ee's has locations Texas, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. The first Buc-ee's opened in Lake Jackson, Texas, and the first in a state outside of Texas was in Baldwin County, Alabama. There are also multiple new stores opening soon in Kentucky and South Carolina. This iconic gas station was opened almost 40 years ago and currently has 38 Texas locations.

Buc-ee's largest travel center is in NewBraunfels, Texas. This impressive location is 68,000 square feet, making it the largest convenience store in the world. The newly opened Buc-ee's in Daytona Beach is famous for its "wall of jerky," featuring over 20 kinds! Whether you want cherry maple or ghost pepper jerky, this should be on the road trip itinerary for all jerky enthusiasts.

Buc-ee's Comes to Tennessee!

Those who haven't had a memorable pit stop at Buc-ee's may not understand the hype, but after trying some homemade fudge or Buc-ee's Beaver Nuggets, they'll be converted to the Buc-ee's fan club. The new location in Crossville will be at 2045 Genesis Road in a 53,500 square foot building. The massive travel center will feature 120 fueling positions, bringing at least 175 jobs to the area.

The new location will officially open in a ground-breaking ceremony on June 15th at 12 p.m. CT. As Stan Beard of Buc-ee's said in a press release, "Crossville is centrally located between Nashville and Knoxville - an ideal stop for folks headed west to Music City or east to the Great Smoky Mountains. Crossville is also the Golf Capital of Tennessee, and a gorgeous destination in and of itself. We can't wait for Buc-ee's to provide another great reason for folks to make their way through Crossville."
