For anyone who’s ever experienced a Texas summer, you know that hot means fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk HOT! Since most of Texas is lacking in the white sandy beaches category, the next best thing is… you heard it, a 1,000-foot traveling slip n’ slide!

If it’s been a hot minute since you’ve last been on a slip n’ slide (college anyone?!) give this baby a try in Dallas on June 25. The Utah-based company, Slide the City, is also planning set up the slide in El Paso and College Station, but have not confirmed dates.

And just when you think this giant slide is a waste of precious Texas water, think again. Though this two-way slide measures out to be the length of three football fields, which equates to 12,000-20,000 gallons of water, the company is committed to treating and recycling the water back into the community.
If you’re interested, register now because prices tend to be lower if you sign up early. Check out Slide the City’s website for dates, locations and prices.
And don’t worry, if you can’t convince all of your friends to take the plunge, there will be plenty of food, drinks and live music at the event for their enjoyment.
Grab your water wings and blow up whales and let’s get silly Texas.
