Now that the Super Bowl is over, we can all start to get to the real point of the show – the commercials. Last night, there were plenty of moments that made us go “wow” that weren’t from the plays performed on the field, but from the crazy and sometimes strange commercials that have become just as beloved as the game itself.
Over the years, we’ve seen some really great Super Bowl ads that have evolved into our all-time favorites. From Betty White hitting the football field to Budweiser’s emotional 9/11 tribute, here are 10 Super Bowl commercials that have stood the test of time.
1. Sprint’s Crime Deterrent Commercial
In 2006, Sprint came out with this doozy of a commercial, which is just as funny today as it was ten years ago.
2. E-Trade Baby Commercial
This cute kiddo wound up starring in several hilarious E-Trade commercials over the years. But he got his start in this epic Super Bowl commercial and forever stole our hearts.
3. Doritos’ “House Rules” Ad
This kid may look cute, but he’s got some rules when you enter his house – don’t mess with his mama or his Doritos!
4. Coke’s “Brotherly Love” Commercial
Sometimes, older brothers can really be a pain, but this touching commercial from Coke shows that they always have your back.
5. Budweiser’s “Wassup” Ad
In 2006, Budweiser started a worldwide trend with the most annoying word ever created – “Wassup!” Everyone and their mamas were using this phrase after seeing this commercial.
6. Cindy Crawford’s 1992 Pepsi Commercial
Way back in 1992, Cindy Crawford became the focus of every young boy’s attention when she starred in this Pepsi commercial with a clever twist.
7. Betty White’s Snickers Ad
Snickers came out with a ton of these commercials over the years, but we can’t get over Betty White starring as a rough and tough football player in this one.
8. Budweiser’s “Here We Go” Commercial
You’re likely to find more than a few ice cold beers at any Super Bowl party, but you’ve probably never gotten one delivered like this.
9. Terry Tate Becomes Office Linebacker
Terry Tate gets rough with the office staff in this hilarious Reebok commercial from way back in 2007.
10. Budweiser’s 9/11 Tribute
This is arguably one of the most touching commercials ever. Budweiser only aired the ad (created in remembrance of 9/11) only once, during the 2012 Super Bowl, in order to ensure they wouldn’t make any profits from it.
